Rome is one the few cities that whenever I visit, I want to return to my favorite haunts instead of exploring new ones. It’s a place that delivers consistency, quality, elegance, history and culture at every twist and turn.

It rewards the rambling, and I do ramble between my beloved spots, like a boomerang enjoying a detour. My best discoveries have unveiled themselves to me whenever I’ve ignored the fastest route. 

Even though its often over-crowded touristed streets drive me crazy, I am homesick for it even while writing this.

Nestled within the grand Villa Borghese which itself sits within the larger Borghese Gardens (rent a bike while there to explore its many paths offering scenic views, fountains and people-watching) the Galleria Borghese merits a first time and hundredth time visit.
