Deep in the medina in Marrakesh’s mysterious maze of cobblestone lanes filled with souks and artisans, I met a man whose little space was bursting with joyous jackets of colors and textiles.

He explained that each one was a pairing of vintage textiles and silks created by him and then sewn upstairs by his seamstresses. No two were alike. I reveled in each tiny thoughtful detail. With no website or Instagram account, I knew I had to make the seemingly impossible choice of picking several to bring home.

Their weight is delicious: the perfect thing to wear at night whether you live in Los Angeles or New York. Throw it over a tshirt and jeans or a dress and you’re singularly chic.
